Why images are not uploaded

The privacy and speed reasons IMGifyx never sends your files to a server.

Updated May 18, 2026

Privacy by architecture

Most online image tools upload your file, process it in the cloud, and send it back. That means your image — which might be a private document, an unreleased design, or a personal photo — briefly lives on infrastructure you don't control. IMGifyx removes that risk entirely by never uploading in the first place. There is no server copy to leak, subpoena, or accidentally retain.

It's also just faster

Uploading a 12 MB photo and waiting for it to come back is slow, especially on mobile connections. Processing locally skips the round-trip completely, so results appear almost instantly and large batches don't choke on your upload bandwidth.

What we do store

IMGifyx keeps only small, non-sensitive preferences in your browser's LocalStorage — things like your theme, default quality, and an optional list of recently used tools. Your image contents are never collected. You can wipe all of it at any time from the dashboard.
